Hello Fellow Enthusiasts,

I have an idea I'd like to run past all you classic car owners. I see a lot of pictures posted on this site where there is a car or a person in the background. It's OK for a record shot of the vehicle, but I was thinking it would be nice to offer a picture (or collection of pics) without these distractions and focus only on your vehicle. So, I would be willing to meet with you at a predetermined location and time for a private photo shoot for a small fee. I know a lot of you may have a picture you like already. I know I do, but think about it. Since fall is rapidly approaching the colors will soon be changing. It'll provide a great backdrop to the photo.

Perhaps a shot in a forest preverve, or by a lake. The Chicago skyline at sunrise or dusk is another thought. If you have a location in mind, I'd be happy to discuss it with you.

Just thought I'd offer this to you and see what happens. I suggest you look at my website as well as my photo albums on this site. If you like what you see, let me know.

Cozzi Corner Cruise Nights are back in 2011, and BETTER than ever!!!!!  We plan to run until October 4th weather permitting!!  

Palos Hills Recreation Center located at 8455 W. 103rd St in Palos Hills has been the site of our newest Cruise Nights for 2011!!  Each participant has recieved a nice dash plaque, and we've given out numerous awards each night as well as a “best of show” award at each show!!   Unfortunately there's only one more show left for 2011, and it's on September 14th.   So please plan to be at the last of these fantastic shows, but remember the start time will run an hour earlier; from 6:00 – 8:00 pm (limited lighting), but feel free to come earlier as I’ll be playing tunes as usual from about 5:00 pm on!!

  By the Way, the once a month Thursday night Buona Beef  Cruise Nights at the Darien (75th & Cass) location this summer have been nothing short of fantastic!!!!! The next one is planned for September 8th, 2011.  Everybody has had a great time at each of the shows except at the first one that was rained out!!  Well, they've decided to make that one up on October 6th, and rumor has it that some very special guests might be there that night so make sure to be there!!  If you’ve been to any of the Buona Beef Cruise Nights in the past, you know about the great specials and free giveaways they’re famous for!!   Come early, as it usually fills up quickly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 Lastly, make plans to be at our 3rd Annual "Winter Cruise" on February 25th next year!!  It's being held this year at Carriage Greens Country Club & Golf Course, this time which is located right off I-55 between Cass Ave & Lemont Rd., and we will have the Grand Ballroom all to ourselves!!  We will again be serving the same great "All You Can Eat" dinner, have the same model car "Cruise Night", and this year the "Claremont Drive Band" will be playing all your favorite oldies tunes from 8:00 - Midnight!!  And it's only $32.00 a couple!!!  Be There!!!!

Over the years, I have spent some time editing various pictures to give different effects to the shots.  Below is a simple merge of two different photos:

 

Another editting option that can be done is an effect called selective color.  This is where everything is black and white while only certain colors are allowed to be displayed.  Below is an example of this:

   

OOBs are fun and time consuming to produce.  OOB stands for out of bounds.  This is where the subject looks like it is out of the boundry of a photo.  Below is an example of this:

  

Various frames can be created in PhotoShop.  Below is an example of a picture laying on a table, but with burned edges:

 

Filters can be applied to images causing some interesting shots.  Below is a photo that has been layered with a filter:

 

HDR shots are becoming the rage now.  This is where you merge 2 or more shots of the same subject, but with different exposure settings.  Below is an example of this:

 

Finally low light shots can be wonderful to see.  Below is a low light shot of a friends hot rod:

I used to be quite a motor head ...in fact actually had 7 differant restored and running Mopar Muscle cars during the mid and late 80's...but kids came ,..bills mounted and having my dream cars wasnt practical anymore. I sold my final project car, a 1974 Plymouth Duster 340 to a young Navy guy from near bye Cecil Field jet base in October 1990. SHe was a special car..a once ina lifetime find. I was sitting at the dinner table reading the paper as I ate a pork chop dinner after my shift as a ground support mechanic at NAS Jax Fla., whe hen I camme across an ad selling a 74 340 duster . The ad was very vague, it merely stated must sell older Plymouth after husbands passing . I envisioned a 56 or 58 sedan...probably rusting in a yard somewhere. What I found after calling her , was a perfectly new like garage kept 1974 Duster ..showroom new like with ORIGINAL 33,000 miles on it. She said she merely wanted the money back she had spent putting brand new stock tires on for her husbands Birthday the previous year. The final cost to me she said would be the cost of those 4 tires !! I wrote her a check for 677.00 . Two years $2600.00 later she was a screaming , sleek, metal flaked baja bronze painted HOT ROD ..I sold her for 8 thousand dollars . That was in 1992 and was also the last of my mopars for 18 years. Last year after my last of 5 kids left the nest, at 51, I quit my long term DOD job and purchased 10 various late 60's early 70's Mopar classics.Im back in business...not for a living..but to keep these on the roads...and to keep one under my rear at all times. Currently , my projects are two 1968 Charger RTs ...one of which I just picked up at a local body and paint shop after a gorgeous pearl black gloss paint job. She sits awaiting interior work this winter ..alongside her sister a matching 68 R and my baby a 1971 Dodge Charger SE 440 former Mopar Power Tour Car circa 2001. Video Uploads are very simple.  Just click on the Upload my Video link at the top right of the My Videos page (when you're logged in).  A Small window should appear with a flash form.  Click Browse, select your movie file, and click upload. 

Watch the progress bar on your page.  When it is finished uploading, it will process your video into our system.  DO NOT CLOSE the window!   When you see the form to upload another video re-appear, the process is done!  If you have more videos to upload, select another video and start uploading it.

While the uploads window is working, you can go and work in other parts of the site.  Including the My Videos page.  Here you can select any video from your list and set file permissions, access groups, content rating, video category, as well as the title and description.  Click save and, it's done! 

]]> Hot Rod Web Pages <![CDATA[ Photo Album Instructions ]]>

Photo and Video albums are very easy to create.  First you need to click on the MY Photo Albums link on your menu to the left.  Then click on "Add New Photo Album". 

In the form, give your photo album a title / name.  Then Type the author.  Next set the Default Permissions (this will determine who is allowed to see your pictures and videos).  Next, type a description for this photo album.  It could be a trip you took, a car or boat you're selling, a funny thing that happened or whatever.  Then save your album information.

Now, for the whichever album you wish to add pictures to, Click the "Add Multi Photos Form" link.  A separate Popup like window will appear with your title and description in it on the left side.  On the right side, a Java Applet will open which will allow you to select either full directories/folders or many individual files.  You can select up to 100 mb of pictures in a single upload.  The Java Applet will resize all the pictures on your computer and then upload them to the server.  Wait for it to complete on it's own.  Do not close the window.  You can leave it working in the background while doing other things.  Upon completion, it will most likely say, Document Contains No Data.  This means it worked!  At this point, if you want to add more pictures to the same album, you can select and send more pictures. 

Close the window, click on the My Photo Albums link to refresh the My Photo Albums page.  You should see your pictures appear here.

You probably wanted to see what would happen if you typed in our domain name with http://www.HotRodDeals.com/NickName/ attached to the end of it.  Well, yep you guessed it!  You wound up here at our System Example MySite Page.  If you have a nickname or a boat name or some other kind of identifying name that is special to you, it can now be a part of how your friends find your pages within our system.  Any nickname you choose, will work with all of the Hot Media Deals websites.  All you need to do is open your preferences page in all the websites you want to be found in. 

Each of the different websites can have different albums, photos, videos and pages specific to each site.  So get creative! 

With our built in HTML editor, you can arrainge your pages with tables, and many other HTML elements.

If you need any special images to put on your pages, they also can be hosted here as well.  Just click the image list link above the editor and it will load all your images with the full url path included.  You then click the insert image link on the toolbar, paste the image address into the URL field, set the width and height, and then click OK.  You're done putting in your own images!

Want a smiley face on your pages?    There is a smiley button on the toolbar which you can use to put up as many smiley's as you need.  We're sure that you'll find the HTML Editor More than Helpfull to building your pages!

1975 Vette T-Top 3000 miles on 350
    crate. 98000 on body.Automatic rebuilt from front to back mechanically,
    radiator, engine, tranny, fuel cell, radiator fan. Binder with all work that
    was done.Car starts right up.Original carpet and seats. Carpet could use a
    replacement. Leather seats are nice. Barely broken in Eagle GTII 60's all
    around with American Racing Aluminum Rims. Paint is about an 8. Looks real
    nice even tough is was painted in 1991. Very shiny. No body damage. Usual
    paint chips. Maybe some TLC in the interior would be nice.


    

I have owned this car for over 6 years
    and the only problem we have had and replaced were the starter and the
    alternator. She hasbeen very solid and drives great. Insurance is great for
    this model. I pay $130 a year for full coverage at $20k no deductible and
